The day
Laura and Dave first meet as Uni students, and their friends and family agreed that in this situation, opposites definitely attract. Super organised Laura and laid-back Dave developed a beautiful friendship and love soon blossomed. The two have had infinite adventures, travelling overseas and living in London while planning their wedding. When COVID hit, the couple returned to Melbourne and waited for the big day to arrive.
The day began with Laura and her bridesmaids and family getting ready at Crown Towers, with champagne popping and lots of laughs setting the mood for the day. Dave and his side got ready close to the venue, and had a leisurely walk across the gardens to their magnificent venue, Gardens House.
The ceremony space, as well as the marquee, was exquisitely styled by Ruby and James, with florals by Georgie Boy. The ceremony was conducted by Wendy does Weddings, and we live-streamed it for family and friends on the other side of the world. Laura looked stunning in her J.Andreatta gown, and Dave dapper in his Oscar Hunt suit. We were blessed with perfect weather, and the talented Erin + Tara taking some spectacular photos.
The party really kicked off with DJ Lauren Mac, Adelaide Clark and Ashley James on Sax, three of Melbourne premier entertainers. Laura’s Greek background led to some traditional dancing, with her Dad taking the singing duties. For us, the night really peaked with late-night cheeseburger delivery. We wish you both the best for a fantastic life together.
